On plain WordPress
Pages, posts, archives, search and 404 render from the theme alone. No plugin is required and none is bundled; what you edit in Styles is what the visitor sees.
A block theme that starts on plain WordPress and grows into a shop.
MevvTheme is a fast, accessible block theme for the site editor. Install it on a plain WordPress site and every page type renders on its own — pages, posts, archives, search, 404 and a full-width canvas for landing pages. Switch WooCommerce on and the shop, product, cart and checkout templates are used automatically; nothing shop-related loads without it. Mevv plugins add features on top and never replace the theme. MevvTheme Pro is the plugin that turns it into a storefront: a design profile edited on one screen, a header that can go transparent, a catalog toolbar, a product page with a sticky gallery, a two-column cart and the blog extras. The free theme is on its way to the WordPress.org directory.
Where it fits
The theme is not a shell around a plugin. It works on its own, and every layer above it is a choice you make later — and can undo.
Pages, posts, archives, search and 404 render from the theme alone. No plugin is required and none is bundled; what you edit in Styles is what the visitor sees.
MevvTheme Pro adds the design profile, the header, the catalog and the blog extras. MevvBlocks, MevvCart, MevvForms and the others bring their own screens; the theme hosts their header and footer regions and never replaces them.
The shop, product, cart and checkout templates are used the moment WooCommerce is active. They sit on WooCommerce’s own hooks, so payment gateways, shipping plugins and consent boxes keep working.
How it looks
Every frame below is a real page: four from mevvshop.com, a store that runs on MevvTheme and Pro, and two from our demo installation. Nothing was drawn or retouched.
Logo, menu, a social link and the cart sit over the hero image. The Pro header goes transparent on the home page and on the shop, and switches to its solid look on every other page.
The banner carries the archive title over a background image of your choosing. Below it, the product cards: category, price, colour swatches from MevvCart, and add to cart — with the grid and list toggle and the column count set in the profile.
Vertical thumbnails, zoom and lightbox on the left; breadcrumb, category, title, price, description, variation buttons and a plus-minus quantity on the right, in the order the profile sets. The announcement bar at the top is MevvCart’s, not the theme’s.
Reading time under the meta line, a share row — X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, e-mail — with a print button, and related posts from the same category. Each one is a switch in the Pro profile; the table of contents appears once a post has three headings.
The cart form on the left with the coupon field in its footer, the totals on the right with a coupon shortcut and the checkout button. It is WooCommerce’s own cart on WooCommerce’s own hooks, arranged by Pro.
At 390 pixels the menu folds into a button, the logo keeps its proportions and the hero keeps its headline. Captured at double density, so what you see is what a phone renders.
The free theme
Block templates, blog layouts and patterns, all edited in the site editor. The theme is being submitted to the WordPress.org theme directory; once it is listed, updates arrive through WordPress itself.
Page, single post, archive, search and 404, plus a full-width canvas template for landing pages that drops the title and the constrained width.
Grid, list or featured-first, chosen under Appearance › Customize › Blog, with the order of the meta line — date, author, category, comments — set there too.
A hero, feature columns, a call to action, an about section, a contact block, testimonials and a questions list. Insert them, then edit them as ordinary blocks.
Shop archive, single product, cart and checkout, used automatically when WooCommerce is active and never loaded without it.
Standard text domains and a Turkish translation in the package; other languages can follow through the usual WordPress channels.
The theme changes nothing in your content. Switching back to the previous theme leaves pages, products and settings as they were — we rehearsed that round trip before moving a live store onto it.
MevvTheme Pro
Pro is a single 482 KB plugin. Its screens live under the shared Mevv menu, and every option it writes is checked before it is saved — an invalid profile is refused rather than half-applied.
Colours, heading sizes and weights, body line height and content width on one hand-editable screen, written out as CSS custom properties and theme.json presets so the editor and the visitor see the same palette.
Logo width, menu, social link and a cart icon with a live count. Transparent on the home page and the shop, solid elsewhere, sticky if you choose. A published block region can stand in for the header or the footer.
A toolbar with grid and list views, a column count per device and products per page, and a shop banner with a background image over the archive title.
A sticky gallery with vertical thumbnails, zoom and lightbox; title, rating, price, short description, add-to-cart and meta in the order you set; a sticky add-to-cart bar; quick view and add to cart from the card.
A two-column cart with cross-sells under the form and a coupon shortcut, floating labels at checkout, and login and register forms that link to each other.
Reading time, a table of contents from the post’s own headings, share and print, an author box, related posts and a reading progress bar — each one a switch.
One click creates the home, about, contact and blog pages from the theme’s patterns, a primary menu and the front-page setting. Everything it creates is recorded so the whole step can be undone; existing pages are reused, never deleted.
The key goes into the shared Mevv › Licenses screen and unlocks signed updates through the MevvCore updater, plus support. It does not switch any feature on or off.
What is in it
The free theme is complete on its own. Pro adds the storefront layer, and none of it is gated by the licence: when the licence lapses, the site keeps its look and only updates and support stop.
Templates, blog layouts, patterns, the WooCommerce templates and the Turkish translation. It needs no plugin and it needs no licence.
One licence per site, monthly, yearly or for life. Comparable premium themes are sold at 59–79 USD a year for one site; Pro’s yearly plan stays below that range, and the lifetime licence ends the renewal altogether.
All prices include VAT.
A lapsed licence never changes the site. Pro’s features are not tied to the licence. The key buys signed updates and support; when it lapses, the design profile, the header and the storefront keep rendering exactly as before.

What it does
Each capability exists to remove a specific operational friction.
The theme renders every WordPress page type by itself and ships with no bundled plugin and no page builder. Colours, fonts, spacing and layouts are edited in Styles, the way the site editor intends.
Shop archive, single product, cart and checkout are block templates that WooCommerce picks up the moment it is active. They sit on WooCommerce’s own hooks, so payment gateways, shipping plugins and consent boxes keep working. Without WooCommerce, none of it is loaded.
Grid, list or featured-first, under Appearance › Customize › Blog — together with the order of the meta line: date, author, category, comments. The patterns behind them are ordinary blocks you can take apart.
A hero, feature columns, a call to action, an about section, a contact block, testimonials and a questions list. Pro’s site setup builds the home, about, contact and blog pages from them in one click, and records what it created so the step can be undone.
Colours, heading sizes and weights, body line height and content width on one hand-editable screen. The profile is written out as CSS custom properties and theme.json presets, so the site editor shows the same palette the visitor sees. An invalid profile is refused, not half-applied.
Logo, menu, a social link and a cart icon with a live count. Transparent over the home page hero and the shop banner, solid everywhere else; sticky if you want it. Any page can switch to the full-width canvas layout with its own transparent header.
A toolbar with grid and list views, a column count per device and products per page, and a shop banner with a background image. On the product page: a sticky gallery with vertical thumbnails, zoom and lightbox, the summary in the order you choose, a sticky add-to-cart bar, and quick view from the card.
A two-column cart with cross-sells under the form and a coupon shortcut, floating labels at checkout, and login and register forms that link to each other. All of it on native WooCommerce hooks, so nothing a gateway or a shipping plugin injects is lost.
Reading time, a table of contents built from the post’s own headings, share links and a print button, an author box, related posts from the same category and a reading progress bar — each one a switch in the profile.
Nothing in Pro is switched off by the licence. The key unlocks signed updates through the MevvCore updater and support; when it lapses, the site keeps its look and its storefront and only the updates stop.
Questions
No. It renders every WordPress page type on its own. When WooCommerce is active, the shop, product, cart and checkout templates are used automatically; without it, nothing shop-related is loaded.
No. The plugins are optional additions. MevvTheme Pro adds the storefront layer; the other Mevv plugins add their own features, and the theme hosts them without replacing anything.
It unlocks updates and support for MevvTheme Pro. The features themselves are not gated: with an expired key the site looks and behaves exactly the same, you only stop receiving updates. Keys start with MEVT and are entered under Mevv › Licenses.
The free theme will update through WordPress.org once it is listed there. Pro updates come signed through the MevvCore updater that every Mevv plugin shares; the plugin registers itself under the slug mevvtheme-pro and checks for a new version like any other plugin.
Not yet — it is being submitted to the theme directory. Until the listing is live, the free package is available from this page whenever one is published here.
Yes. The theme changes nothing in your content, and Pro records what it creates. Switching the theme back and deactivating Pro leaves pages, products and settings as they were; we rehearsed exactly that round trip before moving mevvshop.com.
WordPress 6.8 or later and PHP 8.2 or later, for both the theme and Pro. Tested up to WordPress 7.1.
mevvshop.com runs MevvTheme and Pro in production. wp-demo.mevvsoft.com is a demo installation with the theme, Pro and the other Mevv plugins active; it is reset every hour.
